The way we consume music has undergone evolutionary changes. It seemed like almost yesterday when CDs and MP3 players were in style. Now we can choose from millions of songs, and we don’t have to keep browsing aimlessly for the latest songs, albums or artists.

How To Delete a Spotify Account

Music providers like Spotify have made a wide array of music from across the globe available and easy to access. With features like creating playlists, accessing podcasts, saving favorite music and more, Spotify has always remained one of the top contenders among music streaming apps. Also, it’s a great platform for those who are interested in learning more about and listening to different kinds of music.

This article discusses in detail how to permanently delete your Spotify account and how to cancel your Spotify Premium subscription. But first, let’s talk about Spotify in general and the different Spotify subscriptions.

What is Spotify?

With millions of songs and podcasts, Spotify is the world’s largest music streaming service provider. According to the Statista Research Department, Spotify had 172 million premium subscribers worldwide as of the second quarter of 2021. This digital music service allows you to build collections of podcasts and playlists and get taste-based recommendations in music. Apart from the variety, you can also choose whether you want to continue with the freely available features of the app or switch to a subscription with extra perks. Let’s have a look at the available options for users.

Subscription Plans

On Spotify, you can listen to music for free, but you have to watch ads between the music. If you want to get rid of ads, listen to music offline and get better audio quality, then you can switch to Spotify Premium. There are various plans you can choose from as per your requirements:

  • You can subscribe to the “Individual” plan at only $9.99 per month for a single account.
  • If you want to subscribe for two different accounts simultaneously, you can go in for “Duo,” at $12.99 per month.
  • The “Family” plan is available at $15.99 per month.
  • The “Student” plan is only $4.99 per month.

Permanently Delete Your Account

It’s important to note that you can delete Spotify account using a web browser on your mobile device or computer. You can’t delete a Spotify account via the mobile or desktop app. Spotify Premium users can wait for their subscription to get canceled by not paying for it automatically. However, deleting the account makes sense if you don’t want to keep it hanging.

To make things simpler, here’s a guide on how to delete Spotify account:

  • Step 1: Go to the Contact Spotify Support page.
  • Step 2: Click on “Account.”

Just canceled my Spotify Premium subscription. Its cost is getting higher. I think it’s not worth it.
And can you tell me if music converters like DumpMedia, Sidify, or Noteburner are safe to use? I see they say on their website that they don’t require a premium account to download music from Spotify. As some of them are offering a much lower price than Spotify Premium itself (and they can download songs to MP3 if what they say is true), I would like to give it a shot. But I need to be sure if they really work and they are safe…

Can you please delete my Spotify account Because I forgot my password and I just wanted to can you on but I can’t can you him because I didn’t use the but I can’t use email

    Grace Savides - January 5, 2022 reply

I’m sorry, but we can’t. We don’t work for Spotify. If you’re having trouble, I’d highly recommend using the password reset. As long as you remember your name or email address, they should be able to get you a new password. Once you’re in, you can delete Spotify. Hope that helps!
